This policy explains how Elevelay (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and the choices available to you. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy. We keep the site as light as possible: by default it sets no analytics or advertising cookies, and nothing non-essential runs unless you accept it.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work in the same way. They can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by a third-party service running on it (third-party).
Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary. These are required for the site to work or to record a choice you have made, so they do not need your consent. We set one first-party cookie, el_cookie_consent, to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies; it lasts 12 months. Our spam protection on the contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile) is also strictly necessary.
Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used - which pages are visited and where people run into difficulty - so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga and _gid) and does not run until you accept. We enable IP anonymisation and do not use analytics to build advertising profiles or to sell your data.
Cookieless measurement. We also use Vercel Analytics, which is aggregated and cookieless - it stores nothing on your device and needs no consent. It is listed here for transparency only.
We do not use any advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, or other third-party cookies for marketing.
Your Choices
Analytics cookies are off until you accept them. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject them; your choice is remembered. You can change or withdraw it at any time - it is as easy to say no later as it was to say yes:
